Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Hourly Rate: $65 - $75/hour (depending on experience)
We are seeking a SharePoint Administrator / Developer to support and enhance our enterprise SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 environment. This role is responsible for day-to-day administration, development, and ongoing optimization of SharePoint solutions, ensuring a secure, scalable, and user-friendly platform.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong, and detail-oriented, with experience supporting governance, building custom solutions, and improving content organization and usability.
Key Responsibilities
SharePoint Administration
- Administer and maintain SharePoint Online environments, including sites, permissions, and storage
- Manage site provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle processes
- Support access control, permissions management, and issue resolution
- Monitor platform health, usage, and performance
Development & Customization
- Design and develop custom SharePoint solutions using:
- SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
- React, TypeScript, and Microsoft Graph API
- Build and maintain:
- Web parts, extensions, and site templates
- Power Platform solutions (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Support integrations with M365 services and external systems
Content & Information Management
- Implement and maintain metadata, content types, and taxonomy structures
- Support content organization, search optimization, and findability
- Assist with content cleanup and migration efforts
Governance & Compliance Support
- Execute governance standards across SharePoint and M365
- Support implementation of Microsoft Purview policies, including:
- Retention labels and policies
- Sensitivity labels and DLP policies
- Assist with permissions audits, reporting, and remediation activities
- Ensure alignment with security and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, data protection policies)
User Support & Enablement
- Provide end-user support and troubleshooting
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Create documentation, training materials, and best practices
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of experience with SharePoint Online / M365
- Experience with SPFx development (React, TypeScript)
- Strong understanding of:
- SharePoint site architecture, permissions, and content management
- Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, OneDrive, Exchange)
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Familiarity with governance and compliance concepts in M365
Preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Purview (DLP, retention, sensitivity labeling)
- Experience with PnP PowerShell or scripting for automation
- Exposure to M365 backup tools (AvePoint, Veeam, etc.)
- Understanding of enterprise compliance requirements (e.g., SOX)
